"My Favourites" - Software

It may be difficult to remember some Kanji. The function "My favourites" has been created to help solve this problem.

The reader goes to the screen of the Kanji he would like to register as a "Favourite": 泳 as an example. Then, in its screen, he clicks on the button "My Favourites", top left in the Search bar. An empty grid of 15 boxes is displayed (where here 向 is already registred)."Please, select a location for the Kanji 泳 ". Left click on the selected box. The Kanji is recorded.

When the grid is completed (the number of Kanji being limited to 15) or when the reader, after study, remembers a favorite, he may delete it from the list to replace it by a new one to be remembered. For this, in the grid of "favourites", right click on the Kanji to be deleted. A balloon message "Delete from My favourites" appears. Left click on the message. The box is emptied.One may then proceed to the review.

- Review of the Kanji reading(s)

Open the grid "My Favourites" ; move the cursor of the mouse under the Kanji to be checked. Propose its reading(s) and check by moving the cursor on the Kanji itself to discover its reading(s) in the toolpit. Repeat the procedure for each Kanji of the grid.

- General review

This function generates the scrolling of the selected "Favourites", and this according to different modes :

with a display mode in "one step" or "two steps". In one step, the whole screen is diplayed. In two steps, only the graphics of Kanji is displayed in the first step, the remaining part appearing in the second step.

This configuration allows in particular to control one's knowledge of readings by another way that the "Review of readings" described in the previous paragraph :

with a scrolling (Display Sequence) following the order of the grid - or at random.
with a replacement rate adjustable from 2 to 10 seconds.Once the display sequence chosen, start the scrolling by clicking on the button

"My Favourites" - Application

The function is the same as for the Software. But there is a slight difference in presentation. For example,　look at the right where a grid of 3 "Favourites" 本,子,心 have been selected

Differences are the following ones:

the favourites are registred in their order of registration. To modify this order, the wrong one must be deleted and registred again in the new order
to register a Kanji as a "Favorite" one must, in the Kanji screen, press on the button "Add to My Favourites", bottom right in the screen
to delete a "Favorite", activate the button "Delete" (bottom right) and press on the Favorite concerned

The "general review" procedure is the same as for the Software (see above). The scrolling starts by pressing the button "Diaporama".
